On Display: Deco + Nouveau

Coming from a background in Illustration, I had a love for Art Deco long before The Great Gatsby movie arrived on scene. I actually love the juxtaposition of Art Deco and Art Nouveau...because when you combine the two in the prop world, magic happens. Each has a very distinct style, yet they pair in such a lovely way. Much like a marriage, one might think! I love the combination of strong shapes and metallics, well designed details mixed with natural elements, hard edges and swooping arches.
